Conoce cómo solicitar ayudas a FEMA por daños por terremoto // Learn how to request FEMA assistant for earthquake damage

En este momento todo el mundo sabe de lo devastador que han sido los terremotos en Puerto Rico, que todavía siguen sucediendo en el área sur pero que han dejado daños que cada día son revelados en todo Puerto Rico. 

Hoy estaré informando sobre las opciones que hasta ahora el gobierno Federal a través de FEMA estará ofreciendo a las personas que se han quedado sin hogar o han tenido que desalojar la estructura por no ser segura.

Sea que eres propietario o estás alquilando una residencia o apartamento, si resides en los pueblos de Guánica, Guayanilla, Peñuelas, Ponce, Utuado y Yauco, y tuviste daños en tu residencia primaria puedes solicitar asistencia de FEMA para lo siguiente:

-Pago de vivienda temporera, incluyendo asistencia de alquiler y costos de alojamiento si su hogar es inhabitable

-Pago de remplazos de propiedad personal no cubierta por el seguro

-Pago de necesidades médicas, dentales, fúnebres, transporte, cuidado de menores, y otras necesidades serias relacionadas a los terremotos (no cubiertas por seguros u otros programas)

Puedes solicitar la ayuda de 2 formas:

-En internet visitando www. DisasterAssistance.gov/es

-Por teléfono al 1-800-621-3362; (TTY) 1-800-462-7585. Para español presione 2. Las líneas están abiertas de 7 a.m. – 10 p.m., siete días a la semana.

At this time, everyone knows how devastating the earthquakes in Puerto Rico have been, which are still happening in the southern area but have left damage that is revealed every day throughout Puerto Rico.

Today I inform about the options that until now the Federal government through FEMA will be offering people who have become homeless or have had to vacate the structure because they are not safe.

Whether you own or rent a residence or apartment, if you live in the towns of Guánica, Guayanilla, Peñuelas, Ponce, Utuado and Yauco, and you had damages in your primary residence you can request FEMA assistance for the following:

-Payment of temporary housing, including rental assistance and accommodation costs if your home is uninhabitable

-Payment of personal property replacements not covered by insurance

-Payment of medical, dental, funeral, transportation, child care, and other serious needs related to earthquakes (not covered by insurance or other programs)

You can request help in 2 ways:
